Medieval historic Theater

The Spanish Theater is a historic theater located in Plaza Santa Ana, epicenter of the well-known Barrio de Las Letras, in the City of Madrid. Originally it was a medieval comedy corral, incorporating buildings during different periods to occupy a total constructed area of 9,500 square meters. Located in a neoclassical style building of enormous artistic value, it has different differentiated spaces. The Main Room, Italian horseshoe style, has capacity for 735 spectators distributed in an open, three-story stalls with boxes. The new Margarita Xirgu Room is a smaller room, versatile and functional in nature with a variable capacity of 110 spectators. The Balcony Room,from where you can access the balconies on the main façade and two other auxiliary rooms with views of the Plaza de Santa Ana.
